CSB cruises past Letran, Lyceum earns twice-to-beat incentive

College of St. Benilde strengthened its Final Four bid in the NCAA men's basketball tournament by defeating Letran, 72-54.

The win placed the Blazers in third place with an 11-6 record, establishing a half-game advantage over San Beda.

Miggy Corteza and Mark Sangco led Benilde's offense with 13 points each, complemented by Migs Oczon's 12 points, including four three-pointers.

Lyceum secured the final twice-to-beat incentive in the semifinals by defeating Arellano University, 98-86.

The Pirates, now with a 13-4 win-loss record, were powered by Mclaude Guadaña and John Barba, who both scored 17 points.

Shawn Umali contributed 15 points, and Enoch Valdez achieved a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds for Lyceum.

Letran's Kobe Monje scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds, but it wasn't enough to overcome Benilde's strong performance.

Arellano's season concluded with a five-game losing streak, ending with a 2-16 record despite Jade Talampas' 20 points.
