LPA east of Luzon may become a cyclone in 24 hours

Cloudy skies and scattered rains are expected in most of Luzon due to the easterlies affecting the region.

Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Aurora, Bulacan, Isabela, Eastern Visayas, mainland Cagayan, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Nueva Ecija, Rizal, Laguna, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Aklan, and Capiz will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

The rest of Luzon can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

Batanes, Babuyan Islands, and Ilocos Norte will be affected by the Northeasterly Windflow, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Mindanao and the rest of the country are expected to have localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA is monitoring a low pressure area located 1,060 km east of southeastern Luzon that has a high chance of becoming a tropical cyclone within the next 24 hours.

Moderate winds and coastal waters are forecast for the northern and eastern sections of Luzon, with light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters for the rest of the country.
