LEDAC meets to align legislative priorities for urgent national needs

The Legislative-Executive Development Advisory Council (LEDAC) convened its first full meeting for the 20th Congress, aiming to craft policies that address the urgent needs of Filipinos.

Senate President Vicente Sotto III highlighted that the meeting focused on aligning the legislative priorities of both the Executive and Congress, adopting a common legislative agenda presented by DEPDev Secretary Arsenio Balisacan.

Key areas discussed included improving healthcare and education, promoting inclusive agriculture and livelihood, and strengthening the energy sector.

Officials also deliberated on governance, digital, and financial reforms to stimulate economic growth and enhance public service delivery.

Sotto emphasized that these priorities demonstrate a unified commitment to creating policies that are both responsive to current public demands and aligned with long-term development objectives.
