VP Sara's confidential fund recipients had questionable names

House Deputy Majority Leader Paolo Ortega V disclosed new recipients with questionable names, including "Dodong Gang," "Jay Kamote," and "Miggy Mango," in the acknowledgment receipts for Vice President Sara Duterte's confidential funds.

These alleged beneficiaries, such as Dodong Alcala, Dodong Bina, Dodong Bunal, Dodong Darong, and Dodong S. Barok, lack birth, marriage, or death records at the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

Ortega claims that these findings, alongside previous revelations of recipients named after snacks and cellphones, and now fruits and sweet potatoes, indicate a "carefully planned embezzlement of public funds."

He stated that these discoveries further emphasize the alleged fraudulent misuse of up to P612.5 million in confidential funds, which also covered allocations to the Department of Education when Duterte headed the agency.
