Lacson, Sotto launch campaign in Cavite

Senators Panfilo "Ping" Lacson and Vicente "Tito" Sotto III launched their Eleksyon 2022 campaign in Imus, Cavite on February 8.

They heard mass at the Imus Cathedral before holding their proclamation rally at the Imus Grandstand.

Cavite is considered a bailiwick for Lacson, who was born and raised in Imus City.

Lacson and Sotto were accompanied by their respective families and senatorial slate members.

Lacson urged voters to "Pumili tayo ng mabuti. Isipin natin ang kinabukasan ng susunod na henerasyon; huwag na natin isipin sarili natin. Isipin natin ang kinabukasan ng ating magiging anak, magiging anak ng ating mga anak" (Let's choose wisely. Let's think about the future of the next generation; let's not think about ourselves. Let's think about the future of our future children, the children of our children).

He added that their campaign will focus on grassroots consultations with ordinary Filipinos in underprivileged areas, with the motto "Aayusin ang Gobyerno, Aayusin ang Buhay ng Bawat Pilipino" (Fix the Government, Fix the Lives of Every Filipino) and "Uubusin ang Magnanakaw" (Get Rid of the Thieves).

Lacson also stated they will showcase "leadership by example" and strictly adhere to health protocols.
