Kadiwa on Wheels launched in Negros Oriental

The "Kadiwa on Wheels" mobile market was launched in Negros Oriental to provide residents in ECQ-affected areas access to fresh farm produce.

Governor Roel Degamo led the launching ceremony at the Capitol grounds, signaling the start of the initiative.

This project, initiated by the Provincial Agriculturist's Office, DA-PATCO, and the Provincial Veterinary Office, aims to address the needs of people with restricted mobility due to the enhanced community quarantine.

Local farmers directly sold their products, including fruits, vegetables, fish, poultry, eggs, and meat, at retailer prices, ensuring affordability for consumers.

The Kadiwa on Wheels initiative is part of a nationwide effort by the Department of Agriculture to ensure food accessibility during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The mobile market allows residents to purchase essential food items without needing to travel far or risk exposure during the quarantine period.
