Japan requires 14-day quarantine for Filipino travelers

Filipinos traveling to Japan will be required to undergo a 14-day self-quarantine at designated locations as part of Japan's expanded measures against the coronavirus pandemic.

Japan has suspended the validity of single and multiple-entry visas issued in the Philippines and 38 Schengen member states effective March 28, 2020.

APEC Business Travel Cards are also waived throughout April and will resume once stated.

Incoming travelers from the Philippines will be asked to refrain from using public transportation before the quarantine period is exhausted.

Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that stricter border control measures were adopted to stem the spread of coronavirus or Covid-19.
