ICPO seizes P32.7M shabu, arrests 82 in October anti-drug ops

The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) confiscated PHP32.7 million worth of shabu and arrested 82 suspected drug pushers in 56 anti-drug operations conducted from Oct. 1 to 31.

The ICPO City Drug Enforcement Unit led by Police Capt. Ryan Inot seized the largest volume of drugs, worth P17.7 million.

Police Station 1, led by Police Capt. Roque Gimeno III, recovered the largest amount among the 10 police stations with 668 grams valued at P4.5 million.

Of the 82 apprehended suspects, 30 were classified as high-value individuals and 52 as street-level individuals.

ICPO Director Col. Kim Legada commended the operating units for their dedication in protecting the community from illegal drugs.

Police Major Shella Mae Sangrines, ICPO information officer, stated that anti-drug operations will continue despite the approaching holidays.
