40 nabbed in Bicol drug ops, P3M shabu seized

Police in Bicol arrested 40 individuals suspected of involvement in illegal drugs during a week-long operation from November 4 to 10.

The operations yielded approximately PHP3 million worth of illegal substances, primarily shabu, across six provinces and one city in the region.

Albay province had the highest value of confiscated drugs at PHP1.25 million.

Catanduanes was the only province where no drugs were seized.

The Police Regional Office-Bicol (PRO-5) spokesperson, Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib, reported that 429.059 grams of shabu were confiscated.

PRO-5 Director Brig. Gen. Andre Dizon has ordered intensified operations to pinpoint and apprehend the main suppliers of these illicit substances.
