Iloilo City elects 3 women to top posts for first time

Iloilo City has elected three women to its top leadership positions for the first time, with Raisa Treñas-Chu as mayor, Julienne Baronda as Lone District Representative, and Lady Grace Julie Baronda as Vice Mayor.

Mayor-elect Treñas-Chu won with 169,096 votes, aiming to continue her father's legacy of infrastructure development and good governance.

Congresswoman Baronda secured her third term with 177,282 votes, having served in Congress since 2019.

Vice Mayor-elect Lady Julie Grace Baronda defeated the incumbent with 131,951 votes, previously serving as a three-term city councilor.

Congresswoman Baronda aims to establish an economic zone, expand the Western Visayas Medical Center, construct more evacuation centers, and create additional job opportunities.

Mayor-elect Treñas-Chu is committed to the continuous improvement of Iloilo City.
