DOJ issues ILBOs against 33 officials over flood control project anomalies

Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla signed Immigration Lookout Bulletin Orders (ILBOs) against 33 officials implicated in anomalies within flood control projects.

The Bureau of Immigration confirmed receipt of the ILBOs, which include prominent figures like Leyte Rep. Martin Romualdez, Sen. Francis Escudero, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, Sen. Joel Villanueva, former Sen. Ramon Revilla Jr., Makati Mayor Nancy Binay, and Quezon City representatives Arjo Atayde, Patrick Michael Vargas, Marivic Co-Pilar and Marvin Rillo.

The ILBOs were issued following a request from the Independent Commission on Infrastructure (ICI) to prevent key personalities from leaving the country while investigations are ongoing.

The investigation probes allegations of ghost projects and substandard implementation of flood control projects.

Atayde has previously denied any dealings with controversial contractors Sarah and Curlee Discaya, stating he has never used his position for personal gain.

The Bureau of Immigration has immediately included the names in their database for strict travel monitoring.
