House supports Marcos Jr.'s call for Cabinet revamp

House Speaker Martin Romualdez expressed support for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s directive for a Cabinet revamp, emphasizing readiness to collaborate with new officials to achieve the administration's goals of lowering prices of basic goods and increasing employment.

The President ordered all Cabinet members to submit their courtesy resignations to recalibrate the administration and remove underperforming or corrupt individuals, a directive that was immediately complied with.

Romualdez commended the President's courage in demanding accountability and prioritizing the nation, stating that unity and compassion are crucial at this time.

The Speaker also pledged to enhance the House's oversight functions and legislate in alignment with the administration's objectives, while ensuring executive accountability.

Senator-elect Erwin Tulfo agreed with the President's decision, citing the perceived incompetence and non-performance of many Cabinet members over the past three years.
