Speaker Romualdez orders Lakas-CMD to back 11 Alyansa Senate bets

House Speaker Martin Romualdez, also the president of Lakas-CMD, has directed party members to support all 11 senatorial candidates of the pro-administration Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas.

Romualdez urged for a unified effort to ensure a "sweeping victory" for the Alyansa ticket, aligning with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s objectives.

During a gathering at Malacañang, Romualdez instructed party members to consider supporting the Alyansa Senate bets as their "mission" and to vote "straight Alyansa" without exception.

Navotas City Representative Toby Tiangco, campaign manager for the Alyansa, expressed gratitude to Romualdez and Lakas-CMD for their strong backing, stating it provides a significant boost to the slate's bid for a majority win.

Tiangco added that the commitment from Lakas-CMD's governors, lawmakers, and local leaders gives the campaign the strength and organization needed to reach more voters.

Romualdez described the candidates as "trusted, proven, and handpicked by the President," emphasizing their crucial role in advancing Marcos' reform agenda.
