House panel probes alleged POGO boss financing of troll farms

The House Quad Committee is investigating troll farms allegedly financed by a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) boss to spread misinformation and undermine the committee's probe.

Committee co-chair Dan Fernandez stated that reports indicate POGO resources, possibly from those owned by former president Rodrigo Duterte's economic adviser Michael Yang, are being used to fund a campaign against the committee.

Richard Lim, described as the "King of POGO," is reportedly acting as the frontman for these alleged Yang-owned POGOs.

The committee aims to verify the veracity of these claims, especially after Richard Lim was challenged in a news article regarding his involvement with POGOs now under Michael Yang.

Michael Yang's name has repeatedly surfaced in congressional inquiries concerning various criminal activities, including illegal drug trafficking and POGOs.
