Southwest monsoon to bring rains to Northern Luzon

The southwest monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains to parts of Northern Luzon in the next 24 hours.

Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands may experience persistent cloudy conditions with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned of potential flash floods or landslides in these areas during moderate to heavy rains.

The Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley can anticipate partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated monsoon rain showers or thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and other parts of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, driven by localized weather systems.

PAGASA is not monitoring any weather disturbance or low-pressure area within or outside the Philippine area of responsibility, and the country may remain cyclone-free until the weekend.
