Habagat, high tide cause widespread flooding in Luzon, Iloilo

Widespread flooding has inundated numerous areas across Luzon due to the enhanced southwest monsoon (habagat) and high tide.

In Bulacan, residents in Calumpit town used boats to navigate chest-deep floods in Barangay Meysulao, with evacuations advised.

Makeshift rafts were used in Guiguinto town, and Malolos experienced thigh-deep floods that entered some houses.

Nearly 100 families evacuated from their homes in Bulakan town due to floods in Barangays Santa Ana, Taliptip, and Matungao.

Motorists encountered thigh-deep floods in Barangay Wawa, Balagtas town.

In Iloilo City, floods were reported near Dungon Creek in Barangay Calubihan, Jaro, prompting evacuations as coastal houses were damaged by strong waves.

A swollen creek in Barangay Tagbac also caused flooding in nearby areas, affecting 28 barangays and leading to 516 families staying in evacuation centers.
