Gretchen Fullido tests positive for COVID-19 despite vaccination

Broadcaster Gretchen Fullido is urging the public to get vaccinated against COVID-19 after she tested positive for the virus despite being fully vaccinated and boosted.

Fullido shared her experience on Instagram, detailing how she tested positive for both antigen and RT-PCR tests on January 3.

She experienced various symptoms including headache, sore throat, cough, colds, shortness of breath, fatigue, and a diminished sense of taste and smell for three days.

Fullido noted that on the fifth day, most of her symptoms subsided, although she still experienced a very minimal cough and faint taste and smell.

Despite feeling better, she emphasized the importance of completing the 10-day isolation and quarantine protocol mandated by the DOH.

She stressed that completing the isolation period and obtaining a doctor's clearance are crucial before returning to work, even when feeling better.
