Govt expects P117B GOCC dividends by end of 2025

The government anticipates GOCC dividends to reach P117 billion by the end of 2025, bolstering non-tax revenues for priority programs.

As of September 12, 2025, GOCC remittances totaled P116.84 billion, with the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) contributing a record P5.33 billion.

The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) also contributed P1.389 billion in dividends for fiscal year 2024.

Both BCDA and PEZA were recognized as top-performing GOCCs during the GOCC Day celebration at Malacañang Palace on September 16, 2025.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Finance Secretary Ralph Recto honored these agencies for their substantial contributions.

BCDA President and CEO Joshua Bingcang stated that the BCDA's remittance reflects their commitment to nation-building and inclusive development.

GOCCs are legally required to remit at least 50 percent of their prior year's net earnings, with proposals to increase this to 75 percent.
