GMA Kapuso Foundation launches soup kitchen for typhoon victims

The GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMMAK) is launching a soup kitchen to feed 1,000 individuals affected by Typhoon Ulysses in Quezon City.

The feeding program will be set up at Diosdado Macapagal Elementary School, which is serving as an evacuation center.

GMMAK will also distribute relief goods to over 2,000 families in Rodriguez, Rizal, and over 2,000 families in Cagayan Valley.

The foundation faced initial delays in distributing aid due to inaccessible roads caused by severe flooding.

To reach affected areas, GMMAK will coordinate with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for logistical support, including the use of large trucks.

The AFP Southern Luzon Command will assist GMMAK in Quezon, while the Northern Luzon Command and the 5th Infantry Division will help in Cagayan Valley.

GMMAK plans to start its journey to Cagayan Valley on Sunday night and distribute the relief packs by Monday, November 16.
