GMA Kapuso Foundation aids 14,000 typhoon victims in Batanes

GMA Kapuso Foundation has provided aid to 14,000 individuals across Batan, Sabtang, and Itbayat islands in Batanes who were affected by Super Typhoon Julian.

The foundation's Operation Bayanihan project delivered food packs and water to these communities, with residents like Gina Rarela losing their homes to the typhoon.

Some residents, such as Ledevina Cobico, had to evacuate to safer structures due to flooding in areas like Uyugan.

GMA Kapuso Foundation also conducted a feeding program and donated medicines to the Batanes Provincial Health Office, a much-needed assistance according to Dr. Allan Sande.

The Philippine Air Force previously assisted the foundation in delivering essential items, and in the past week, relief goods and water were distributed to Sabtang, Basco, and Itbayat.

Donations are being accepted through various platforms including bank deposits, GCash, Shopee, and Lazada to support ongoing relief efforts.
