Gatchalian wants Alice Guo out of NPC

Senator Sherwin Gatchalian is calling for the expulsion of Bamban Mayor Alice Guo from the Nationalist People's Coalition (NPC) due to her alleged ties to illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) operations.

Gatchalian believes Guo should be expelled from the NPC, citing her alleged connections to POGOs and irregularities with her birth certificate.

The Senator noted that three out of four incorporators of Baofu Land Development Inc., which houses a POGO entity raided for alleged illegal activities, are foreign nationals involved in money laundering.

He stated it is hard to believe Guo does not know about the criminal activities within Baofu Land, such as scam hubs and human trafficking.

Mayor Guo initially ran as an independent candidate before joining the NPC after her victory.

NPC chairman and former Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto III stated that the party will wait for a formal proposal before proceeding with Guo's expulsion.
