Forthsky Padrigao transfers to UST for Growling Tigers

Former Ateneo Blue Eagles star Forthsky Padrigao has enrolled at the University of Santo Tomas to play for the Growling Tigers.

Padrigao, the MVP runner-up last season, departed Ateneo due to academic deficiencies and moral concerns.

UST Athletic Director Father Rodel Cansancio confirmed that Padrigao sought a second chance and the university, being a Catholic institution, is open to offering one.

Padrigao stated that UST gave him clearance and assurance that they have a plan for him and they both want to work it out.

He has enrolled in UST's Institute of Physical Education and Athletics and has been participating in the Tigers' practices while undergoing a one-year residency.

Padrigao will have his final two years of UAAP playing eligibility with the Growling Tigers beginning Season 87 in 2024.

He has also sought guidance counseling and participated in outreach programs as part of his efforts to address recent controversies.
