First Lady leads women entrepreneurs summit

First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos led nearly 2,000 women entrepreneurs at the Go Negosyo's Women Summit 2025 in Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Parañaque City.

The summit celebrated women entrepreneurs who are breaking boundaries and highlighted their significant contributions to the business sector.

Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary Cristina Roque emphasized the crucial role of women entrepreneurs in addressing poverty and the need for expanded opportunities.

Go Negosyo Founder Joey Concepcion III stated that entrepreneurship is key to poverty reduction and economic growth, noting that women lead over half of the country's MSMEs.

The event also featured the Inspiring Filipina Entrepreneur Award, honoring outstanding women for their leadership, economic contributions, and job creation.

Notable figures such as Dr. Vicki Belo, Loida Nicolas Lewis, and Angkas founder Angeline Tham were present to support and celebrate Filipina entrepreneurs.
