DMW confirms Pinoy seafarer injured in Gulf of Aden attack has died
A Filipino seafarer who was critically injured in an attack by Houthi rebels on the MV Minervagracht in the Gulf of Aden on September 29 has died.
Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Hans Cacdac confirmed the seafarer's death and extended condolences to the bereaved family.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has directed the DMW to provide full support and assistance to the family of the deceased seafarer.
Previously, the DMW reported that two out of the 12 Filipino seafarers on board the vessel sustained injuries during the attack, with one having minor injuries and the other suffering serious but not life-threatening wounds.
