Filipinas draw Uzbekistan 2-2 in SEAG prep match

The Philippine women's national football team, the Filipinas, drew 2-2 against Uzbekistan after conceding a late equalizer at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Chandler McDaniel scored in the second minute and Meryll Serrano extended the advantage in the 56th minute in front of 3,106 supporters.

Uzbekistan's Diyorakhon Khabibullaeva scored twice, first from a long-range free kick in the 67th minute, and then capitalizing on a defensive error to equalize in the 81st minute.

This friendly match was part of the Filipinas' preparation for the Southeast Asian Games in December in Thailand, where they are in Group B with Vietnam, Myanmar, and Malaysia.

Coach Mark Torcaso expressed excitement about having many key players available for the SEAG, including college players and those playing domestically and internationally.
