Filipinas face Argentina, Poland, Morocco in inaugural Fifa Women's Futsal World Cup

The Philippine women's futsal team, Filipina5, will compete in Group A of the inaugural Fifa Women's Futsal World Cup, hosted in the Philippines from November 21st to December 7th.

They are drawn against world no. 6 Argentina, world no. 14 Poland, and world no. 31 Morocco.

Philippine coach Rafa Merino expressed excitement and motivation for this unique opportunity, stating that the team aims to surprise their opponents.

To prepare, the Filipina5 will undergo a training camp in Japan with friendlies against their Japanese counterparts, and potentially another buildup session in Vietnam or Indonesia.

The team's initial objective is to finish in the Top 2 of their group to advance to the knockout rounds.

Filipina5 will open their campaign on November 21st against Poland, followed by Morocco on November 24th, and concluding the eliminations against Argentina on November 27th.
