Ex-Cabinet members, officials back Robredo for president

Ninety-five former Cabinet members, senior government officials, former chiefs of staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, retired diplomats, and career civil servants who served under various administrations officially endorsed Vice President Leni Robredo's 2022 presidential candidacy.

Many of these officials previously served during the Benigno Aquino III administration.

In a joint statement, they expressed confidence in Robredo's competence and experience, highlighting her solid track record and qualities as an ideal Chief Executive and Commander in Chief.

They believe Robredo embodies the desire for a compassionate leader who listens to and connects with the poor and marginalized.

Robredo's spokesperson Barry Gutierrez stated that the endorsement from retired diplomats and former military officials is significant and an indicator of Robredo's true mettle.

Gutierrez emphasized that the group of endorsers is varied and has decades of experience in government, proving that those who understand governance consider Robredo the clear choice for president.

The endorsement aims to rally support for Robredo's vision of leading the Philippines towards recovery and greatness.
