Edsa Busway begins operations between Monumento and PITX

The interim operation of the Edsa Busway has started with buses running between Monumento and PITX to help commuters during the general community quarantine.

This initiative by the Department of Transportation, along with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, aims to supplement the MRT-3 line.

Initially, 150 out of 550 authorized bus units were deployed to service the Edsa Busway.

No fare increase will be implemented for this service.

Buses from Monumento to Quezon Avenue will use specific curbside bus stops for passenger loading and unloading.

From Quezon Avenue to Estrella, buses will utilize the median lanes as part of the busway's partial operability.

Upon exiting Estrella, buses will be allowed to pick up and/or unload passengers at curbside stops from Buendia to the PITX.
