PBBM's order for a wage review reaffirms RTWPBs' role - ECOP
The Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) affirmed that employers consistently adhere to the decisions of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPB) regarding wage adjustments.
ECOP President Sergio Ortiz-Luis Jr. stated that President Marcos' directive during the Labor Day celebration to review the nation's wage rates was aimed at the RTWPBs.

He claimed that the Philippines has achieved the highest wage rates in Southeast Asia due to existing wage orders.
Furthermore, Ortiz-Luis clarified that no Cabinet member would support a legislated wage increase.
He also called it "unnecessary" to increase the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) contributions, given its substantial reserve funds.
