Easterlies, ITCZ, Amihan bring scattered rains nationwide

Most parts of the Philippines will experience cloudy skies and rain due to the combined effects of three weather systems: the easterlies, the Northeast Monsoon, and the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

The easterlies are expected to bring scattered rains and thunderstorms to the Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, and Davao Oriental.

The ITCZ will affect the Zamboanga Peninsula, Palawan, and the rest of Mindanao with cloudy conditions and rain.

Metro Manila and other remaining areas in the country can anticipate partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms, also influenced by the easterlies.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will experience cloudy skies with rain.

Coastal waters in extreme Northern Luzon and the eastern parts of Luzon and Visayas may face moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough conditions, while the rest of the country will have lighter winds and slight to moderate sea conditions.
