EAC, LPU fight for NCAA Final Four playoff spot

Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) and Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) will battle for a chance to enter the NCAA Season 100 Final Four.

Both teams hold identical 8-8 win-loss records, and the winner will secure at least a playoff for the last semifinal spot.

However, a win by either side will also require them to win their last match to formally complete the Final Four cast, as Letran College sits in sixth with an 8-9 slate.

A three-way tie between EAC, Lyceum, and Letran could add complications to the Final Four race should they finish with identical 9-9 cards.

The top three teams already in the Final Four are College of St. Benilde Blazers, Mapua University Cardinals, and San Beda University Red Lions.

EAC is aiming for a breakthrough Final Four appearance, while LPU seeks a third consecutive stint.

LPU will have a complete roster for this game, with JM Bravo returning after recovering from a concussion.

EAC coach Jerson Cabiltes emphasized that all their remaining games are must-win.
