Duterte receives 600,000 CoronaVac doses, urges public to get vaccinated

President Duterte personally received the 600,000 doses of CoronaVac vaccines donated by the Chinese government at Villamor Airbase.

He encouraged the public to set aside their fears and get vaccinated with the CoronaVac shots, stating that Filipino experts have validated the vaccines as safe.

Duterte urged the public to get vaccinated at the soonest possible time to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

He emphasized the need for a swift and efficient rollout of the vaccines, stressing that delays could jeopardize the lives of Filipinos.

The President directed all relevant agencies to adopt a "whole-of-government approach" to ensure a hitch-free distribution process.

Duterte reminded those who will be vaccinated to continue observing health and safety protocols, such as wearing masks, washing hands, and social distancing, as this cooperation is key to saving lives.
