Duterte has not endorsed any presidential bet

President Rodrigo Duterte has not yet endorsed any presidential candidate, including Ferdinand Marcos Jr., despite the ruling party PDP-Laban backing his bid.

The Palace clarified that a recent meeting between Duterte and Marcos does not constitute an endorsement from the Chief Executive.

Acting Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Michel Kristian Ablan stated that Duterte has not officially announced his preferred successor.

Ablan also mentioned that Duterte will not be attending any proclamation rallies on Friday, the official start of the local candidates' campaign period.

Earlier, PDP-Laban president Alfonso Cusi announced that Duterte would become more active in promoting the party's candidates starting March 25.

PDP-Laban formally adopted a resolution endorsing Marcos, citing that his vision aligns with the party's 11-point agenda.
