DTI receives 11 tons of fabric for PPE production

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has received over 11,000 kilos of fabrics to support local manufacturers in producing personal protective equipment (PPEs) for frontliners.

A Philippine Air Force (PAF) C-130 aircraft transported 334 rolls of fabric, totaling 11,256 kilograms, from Xiamen, China, to Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.

The PAF pilots, crew, and the fabric shipment underwent disinfection and decontamination procedures as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.

Air Force medical teams and CBRNE personnel from the 710th Special Operations Wing led these safety protocols.

The PAF has been actively involved in transporting essential medical supplies, including PPE sets, from China since March to aid in the country's fight against COVID-19.
