DSWD seeks volunteers for Kanlaon eruption relief operations

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is actively seeking volunteers to aid in relief efforts for families impacted by the recent explosive eruption of Kanlaon Volcano.

Volunteers are particularly needed for repacking operations at the National Resource Operations Center (NROC) located in Pasay City.

The DSWD emphasized the importance of "bayanihan" and compassion in ensuring swift delivery of aid to affected communities.

Interested volunteers from the National Capital Region and surrounding areas are encouraged to participate.

Kanlaon Volcano, situated between Negros Oriental and Negros Occidental, recently experienced an explosive eruption that generated a tall ash plume and caused ashfall in nearby barangays.
