DSWD welcomes P20 Rice for 'Walang Gutom Program'

The goal is to allow beneficiaries to purchase more food with their existing credits by making rice more affordable.
The DSWD has provided the Department of Agriculture (DA) with a list of approximately 1,000 accredited retailers to commence the program's implementation.
The 'Walang Gutom 2027: Food Stamp Program', established in July 2023, aims to eradicate hunger among 750,000 food-poor families by the year 2027.
Program beneficiaries are provided with monthly food credits and participate in nutrition education sessions.
