DSWD accepts donations for Taal eruption victims

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is now accepting both cash and in-kind donations to aid victims affected by the Taal Volcano eruptions.

In-kind donations can be delivered to various DSWD offices, including the Central Office in Batasan Hills and the National Resource Operations Center in Pasay City.

Cash donations can be made through the DSWD's designated peso and dollar savings accounts at the Land Bank of the Philippines.

The DSWD has specified a list of urgently needed items, such as face masks, hygiene kits, sleeping mats, blankets, towels, and ready-to-eat food.

Donations of used clothing are not being accepted due to health and hygiene concerns.

Volunteers are advised to coordinate with the National Resource and Logistics Management Bureau for assistance.

Donors can also directly coordinate with the local social welfare and development offices in the affected areas.

All received donations must be properly accounted for with an acknowledgement receipt.
