DPWH welcomes 5 new undersecretaries under Sec. Dizon

Five new undersecretaries have been appointed to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) under Secretary Vince Dizon.

The new officials took their oath of office on Monday, September 30.

These appointees include Arrey Perez (Operations), Arthur Bisnar (Regional Operations), Charles Calima Jr. (Special Concerns), Ricardo Bernabe III (Office of the Secretary), and Samuel Turgano (Legal Services).

Secretary Dizon replaced Manuel Bonoan earlier this month following a multi-billion-peso flood control scandal.

Dizon ordered the "unqualified courtesy resignation" of all incumbent undersecretaries, assistant secretaries, regional directors, bureau directors, service directors, project directors, and district engineers in the DPWH on his first day.

Dizon has vowed a "systematic and relentless" shakeup targeting both internal officials and external contractors involved in anomalous projects.

Arrey Perez previously worked with Dizon at the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).
