DOTr to finish 12 NSCR relocation sites in Cavite by December

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is expediting the construction of 12 relocation sites in Naic, Cavite, for families affected by the North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR) project, with completion targeted by December.

These 12 buildings are part of 82 three-storey structures intended for affected families.

The DOTr is also preparing to bid out the operations and maintenance contract for the NSCR, valued at P250 billion, with an award expected by mid-2026.

The 147-kilometer NSCR project connects Calamba, Laguna, to Clark, Pampanga.

The railway is expected to reduce travel time to under two hours and serve up to 800,000 passengers daily.

The DOTr is also scheduled to visit another relocation site this week for residents affected by the NSCR in Angeles City, Pampanga.
