NAIA sees 1.18M passengers during Holy Week

New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) reported over 1.18 million passengers are expected at NAIA from April 13 to April 20, a 14% increase from the previous year.

On Palm Sunday, April 13, NAIA recorded 150,511 passengers, the highest traffic so far, marking an 11.77% increase from 2024.

Holy Monday, April 14, saw 142,560 passengers, a 14.52% hike from the previous year, while Holy Tuesday, April 15, logged 140,407 passengers, a 9.65% jump.

The total number of passengers for the first three days of Holy Week reached 433,478.

Despite the increased passenger volume, NNIC stated that airport operations have remained smooth.

The Bureau of Immigration deployed additional officers to ease congestion and speed up passenger processing.
