DOLE job fairs offer thousands of vacancies nationwide

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) organized job fairs nationwide for Labor Day, offering thousands of job vacancies.

In Zamboanga City, 13 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) were hired on the spot during the 123rd Labor Day job fair.

These 4Ps beneficiaries were among 500 exited and exiting 4Ps beneficiaries selected by DOLE-9 to participate in the fair.

Private companies such as Cebu General Services Inc., Jolly Management Solutions, KCC Mall, and 3ME Manpower Services hired the successful applicants in Zamboanga.

DOLE provided service booths and a one-stop shop for clearances and other government services at the job fairs.

Labor Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma expressed hope that 25 to 30 percent of job seekers at Metro Manila job fairs would be hired on the spot.

Additionally, DOLE is distributing over PHP2.57 billion in assistance under its Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP), benefiting over 406,000 workers nationwide.
