DOH WV CHD targets over 1.2M Filipinos for vaccination

The Department of Health Western Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH WV CHD) aims to vaccinate 1,278,777 individuals in the region during the national vaccination days from November 29 to December 1.

The region is targeting to inoculate 426,259 eligible people each day of the three-day massive vaccination drive.

Negros Occidental has the highest target with 516,807 individuals, followed by Iloilo province with 338,716.

Other targets include Capiz province (133,576), Antique province (115,217), Aklan province (79,521), Bacolod City (66,171), and Guimaras province (28,699).

Iloilo City was not given a specific target for this drive as it has already achieved around 120 percent coverage for its first dose.

The vaccination drive will accommodate individuals receiving their first dose, second dose, and booster shots, prioritizing healthcare workers, senior citizens, and adults with comorbidities.

DOH-6 is preparing approximately 530 vaccination sites across the region and urging unregistered individuals to get vaccinated.
