DOH welcomes CBCP offer to use church facilities for vaccination

The Department of Health (DOH) welcomed the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines' (CBCP) offer to utilize church facilities as vaccination centers.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III stated that churches could serve as alternative sites, especially in hard-to-reach municipalities lacking facilities.

CBCP President Archbishop Romulo Valles emphasized the Church's readiness to offer facilities for the vaccination program.

Valles also expressed willingness for church leaders to be vaccinated in public to build confidence in the government's vaccine campaign, if necessary.

The DOH acknowledged that vaccinating millions of Filipinos would require assistance from various sectors, including the Church.
