DOH reports 281 new Covid-19 recoveries, 5,000 new cases

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 281 new recoveries from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recovered individuals in the Philippines to 547,166.

The country also recorded 5,000 new Covid-19 cases, increasing the total number of active cases to 56,679.

Of the active cases, 92.3 percent exhibit mild symptoms, while 4.3 percent are asymptomatic, 1.4 percent are severe, 1.4 percent are critical, and 0.66 percent are moderate.

Eighty-eight new deaths were reported, bringing the total Covid-19 death toll in the Philippines to 12,766.

The DOH has logged a total of 616,611 confirmed cases since March 2020.

Fifty-four percent of the total 1,900 intensive care unit beds are still available, along with 62 percent of isolation beds and 71 percent of ward beds.
