DOH places NCR hospitals on Code White Alert for Nazareno feast

The Department of Health (DOH) placed hospitals in the National Capital Region (NCR), Central Luzon, and Calabarzon on a Code White Alert from January 6 to 10, 2025, in preparation for the Feast of Jesus Nazareno and the annual Traslacion.

This alert ensures that medical personnel, equipment, and facilities are on standby for immediate emergency response.

Medical teams and health stations have been deployed along the Traslacion route, including key areas like Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park, SM Manila, Ayala Bridge, P. Casal, and Quinta Market.

A total of 201 personnel from the DOH's Health Emergency Response Team (HERT) in Metro Manila will be on duty, including those from Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center (JRRMMC), Tondo Medical Center (TMC), Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital, and East Avenue Medical Center.

They will collaborate with partner agencies such as the Metro Manila Development Authority, National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, National Capital Region Police Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Philippine Coast Guard, along with the Local Government of Manila to assist the expected devotees.

Ambulances are ready for patient transport, and designated health stations will provide basic and advanced care.

DOH hospitals in NCR are prepared to receive patients requiring more intensive medical attention.
