DOH needs 160,000 volunteers for vax drive

The Department of Health (DOH) is seeking volunteers from the medical field to participate in a nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive from November 29 to December 1.

The DOH estimates that approximately 30,000 vaccination teams, each composed of five to six individuals, will be needed to achieve their vaccination targets.

This means around 160,000 personnel will be required to support the three-day event.

The department is looking for individuals to fill roles such as health screeners, vaccinators, post-vaccination monitors, health educators, registration personnel, encoders, and data consolidators.

The DOH is appealing to medical societies, medical schools, nursing schools, and other healthcare worker training institutions for assistance in mobilizing these volunteers.
