DOH logs 663 new COVID-19 recoveries

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 663 new COVID-19 recoveries on Friday, March 26, 2021, bringing the total number of recoveries to 580,689.

This accounts for 82.6 percent of the Philippines' cumulative COVID-19 case tally of 702,856.

The DOH also announced 9,838 new confirmed cases and 54 additional deaths, resulting in 109,018 active cases and a total of 13,149 deaths.

Of the active cases, 95.1 percent are mild, 3 percent are asymptomatic, 0.8 percent are severe, 0.7 percent are in critical condition, and 0.42 percent are moderate.

For the National Capital Region, ICU beds are at 72 percent occupancy, isolation beds at 68 percent, ward beds at 55 percent, and ventilators at 52 percent utilization.

Nationwide, 54 percent of ICU beds, 43 percent of isolation beds, and 43 percent of ward beds are occupied, with 36 percent of ventilators utilized by COVID-19 patients.
