DOH logs 2,048 new Covid-19 cases, 137 deaths

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 2,048 new Covid-19 infections and 137 new deaths on Friday, January 15, 2021.

An additional 551 patients recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 459,737.

The country's active Covid-19 cases now stand at 27,033, with 84.5 percent experiencing mild symptoms.

Bulacan recorded the highest number of new cases with 98 infections, followed by Davao City with 89.

Of the active cases, 7.4 percent are asymptomatic, 4.9 percent are in critical condition, 2.8 percent have severe symptoms, and 0.42 percent have moderate symptoms.

The country's Covid-19 death toll is now 9,876.

Many of the country's Covid-19 facilities remain available, with 60 percent of ICU beds unoccupied.
