DOH launches Oplan Bantay Super Health to audit idle facilities

The Department of Health (DOH) has launched "Oplan Bantay Super Health," a citizen participatory audit platform, to address the issue of idle super health centers across the country.

The initiative allows the public to report non-functional facilities by submitting details and visual evidence, such as photos of the building with a newspaper showing the current date, through a dedicated link or email.

The identities of those who submit a report will remain confidential.

Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa reported that 300 out of 878 super health centers funded under the Health Facility Enhancement Program are non-operational, with approximately 170 of these located in Luzon.

The DOH will study each submission and coordinate with the concerned local government unit for action.
