DOH expects Pfizer vaccines for kids by late Jan or early Feb

The Department of Health (DOH) hopes to receive the initial supply of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccines for children aged five to 11 by the end of January or the first week of February.

This is after the Philippines requested for an earlier delivery from Pfizer representatives.

The DOH and other government officials, including Sec. Charlie Galvez and Sec. Vince Dizon, met with Pfizer to discuss the delivery schedule.

Pfizer representatives initially committed to deliver the vaccines within the first quarter of the year.

Approximately 13.5 million Filipino children are eligible for this vaccination program.

The National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC) will announce the vaccination schedule once the suitable vaccines and their corresponding syringes are available.
